How Meal Planning Improves Your Life

I don't think it's any secret that I'm a huge fan of meal planning, as I've waxed on and on about its benefits, such as in the Meal Planning Challenge, here on the site.

In fact, I feel so strongly about meal planning as one of the core pillars of an organized life, that I urge everyone to give it a try, even if they're truly skeptical, because I feel it can give everyone such enormous benefits.

Just a few of those benefits include:

  • Saving money, by eating out less (home cooked meals are generally much cheaper than even fast food)
  • Eating healthier (obviously mileage can vary, but you can definitely control your choices, and make healthier ones more easily when you're the one choosing ingredients, and doing the cooking)
  • Experience less stress -- you're going to have to eat, eventually, so planning for this inevitable occurrence ahead of time is easier and less stressful than determining, on the fly, what you'll eat each day
  • Family together time - A meal shared together with family, loved ones and/or friends, is such a precious time, especially when done regularly, and meal plans help make that time together easier to accomplish.

Of course, while meal planning produces lots of benefits, that doesn't mean it's super easy and simple to do.

So, if you're like me, when you decide you want to do something that will give you such clear benefits, you want to find the easiest way to accomplish the task.

That's where pre-made meal plans, like those from Eat At Home meal plans, come in.

Common Challenges To Meal Planning

What are some of the hardest parts of meal planning?

Some common challenges include:

  • Finding quick meals to cook on extremely busy days
  • Making sure you have all the ingredients and supplies necessary to cook your planned meal, without emergency runs to the grocery store at extremely inconvenient times
  • Making meals your family enjoys, that you can actually cook, and that are still healthy and nutritious
  • Making sure kids, and adults, don't get bored with the same old meals, over and over
  • Finding the time to plan out what you're cooking, including deciding on recipes and then making the grocery list

I think we've all experienced some or all of these challenges, at least from time to time.

That's why so many people turn to pre-made meal plans, to make the whole process of meal planning easier, and after reviewing the Eat At Home meal plans, I'm here to say that they're some of the best available that I've seen.

I love that the meal plans have been formulated with real life in mind. You don't always have a lot of time to cook, and so the recipes have a lot of variety for making cooking work for your schedule. This includes recipes for:

  • 15 minute meals
  • Slow cooker meals
  • Instant Pot
  • Prep ahead freezer meals for the slow cooker (each month's plan has a week of slow cooker freezer meals that can be assembled in about an hour)

With all those types of recipes available, you can see how finding the time to actually prepare the meals your family will eat becomes much easier.

Finally, other parts of these meal plans that I love include:

  • The recipes included within the meal plans are never repeated more than once a quarter within the same plan, so you don't have to worry about serving the same meals over and over
  • The ingredients for these recipes can be found at most major grocery store chains
  • A lot of attention has been paid, for the recipes, to picky eaters and what kids like, as well as providing a variety of healthy and nutritious options (my fave is the no flour, no sugar category of recipes, because I personally eat low carb, but there's a wide variety available)
  • The recipes are straight forward, easy to follow, quick to make, and they taste delicious!

I've been telling you what I like about the Eat at Home Meal Plans, but you may be wondering how it really works.

Once you purchase a meal plan subscription (you can choose between monthly, quarterly or annual (of which annual is by far the best deal)), you are provided access to the membership area of the site. There you'll see these 3 steps to choose your meals for the month.

Choose Between Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Plans {I Recommend Annual}

The meal plans come a month at a time, but you can get as few or as many months as you'd like, since it's a subscription service.

I recommend the annual plan because you get a discount for purchasing the full year at once, and it reduces the total cost of the meal plans, per month, by 50%!

Since there's a 30 day money back guarantee (see below), getting the annual plan locks in the significantly reduced rate for each month's worth of meal plans, without risk, since within the first month, if you're not satisfied, you get a full refund.
